On October 10, 2024, as part of Global Cybersecurity Awareness Month, the third event of the hashtag #InfoSEC2024 project was successfully held, jointly organized by the Cybersecurity Platform and the Azerbaijan Cybersecurity Organizations Association.
It was organized for students studying in the fields of information security, information technology, and computer engineering. In his speech, Acting Dean of the Faculty of Information and Computer Technology, Professor Vagif Gasimov, stated that such events, aimed at raising awareness and supporting workforce development, play a significant role in enhancing students' knowledge and skills. He also shared his thoughts on the topics to be discussed during the event.
In the 3rd stage of "InfoSEC-2024" at BMU, the founder of the Cyber Security Platform, Shahin Aliyev, noted that the situation of young people studying in the specialties of the modern era will play a role in national security, and it is necessary to study their information security.
Tabriz Jafarov, the head of ACOA's Research and Development Department, said that the goal of the association is to educate young people and give them experience, and he touched on the important role of cyber clubs created in universities in the formation of students. He listed the positive effects of the free development environment in cyber clubs and urged students to take initiative. Speaking about the document "The Strategy of the Republic of Azerbaijan on information security and cyber security for 2023-2027", T. Jafarov took into account the duties imposed on civil institutions by this strategy and said the importance of educating all citizens about cyber security.
Then the training of experts in the field of cyber security for students began. In the training, the important points of the topic of cyber security were given extensive information and questions of interest to the students were answered.
